This is an oldie but goodie from LifeHacker that I’m just getting around to thanks to my currently being ‘between employment opportunities’. Owing to my circumstances, I’m a little beyond a lot of this advice but I’m sure it’s useful for others.
I found this site because of another Lifehacker article that didn’t really resoate. It’s an article that’s supposed to be targetted at the people who are currently not busy at work but I don’t feel like the advice was all that great. Take a peep if you’re interested. I think if you’re currently experiencing some downtime, the best thing to do is get the resume in order and network…which the article sort of kind of alludes to…meh. I haven’t become an expert in any field by 31 so I don’t really know what conferences I’d be speaking at 😀
